Christmas & New Year celebrations create a lot of waste, so step up to help nature in January if you find party stuff & other rubbish in your street or local environment. Make your goal to clean up your local area to keep rubbish out of stormdrains, waterways and the ocean. 

You’ll need some gloves & a bucket or bag. Keep a safe distance from others & don’t pick up anything that makes you feel unsafe, such as masks, gloves, broken glass or hypodermic needles. If you decide to pick up one of these things, do so with gloves on both hands & without letting the rubbish touch your skin or others & dispose of it correctly by placing in a closed bin or bag.
