From 11 October, fully vaccinated people will be able to gather outdoors in groups of up to 20 people, without masks, so I'm relaunching our Clean Up The South! events to clean up our beautiful coastal environment! Hooray! Yeeha! Can't wait!

And neither can our environment: every day I am still finding lots of plastic pollution - now including disposable masks - on my daily walks, picking up rubbish as I go. Cleaning up our streets, beaches, parks and waterways is as urgent as ever.

So, here are the details of our October clean up:

Join us: Sunday 17 October 2021

Come anytime between: 10am - 12pm

Meeting point: Trenerry Reserve, 1R Wolseley Rd, South Coogee NSW 2034

Bring: Gloves

We’ll keep our distance from each other to be safe, and you don’t have to pick up anything that makes you feel unsafe. If you do, we’ll guide you in how to handle it and dispose of it correctly.

We supply all collection bags and sort all rubbish at the end of the event to take to recycling centres. Please bring your own gloves. We also suggest wearing closed toe shoes for the park/bush areas, and to bring some water. We can provide hand sanitiser and sunscreen.
